HOTEL PROJECT MANAGEMENT, DESIGN DIRECTION & DESIGN

 

Following a top-to-bottom transformation, the 45-year old Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa, reemerged as VEA Newport Beach, a Marriott Resort & Spa, a chic social sanctuary where revelry and relaxation mingle in Southern California perfection.

 

The name VEA, which means “see” in Spanish, celebrates the majestic ocean, golf and city views from the resort primely situated on the California coast. VEA features new coastal-inspired luxury guest rooms and suites, three brand-new restaurant and bar concepts, a spa and high-tech fitness center, sprawling new indoor and outdoor event spaces, a luxe pool experience, and a vast array of original artworks.

 

Shannon was Eagle Four's owner rep providing design; design direction; development and construction oversight; project team interface; schedule, budget, plan, specifications, purchase order, shop drawing, and RFI review; procurement and installation oversight; ​punch walks and sign off.  Completed in 2022.

Fun Fact:  Shannon created custom do not disturb "In Sanctuary" door charms for VIP guests, made out of semi-precious Jadeite, Howlite and Black Lava stones, with laser engraved walnut emblem hang tags, that can also be purchased in the gift shop, Le Boutique.
